OBJECTIVES/STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to:
- Execute complex steps, turns, and combinations in “across the floor” exercises and routines to excel in the jazz dance idiom.
- Analyze complex jazz sequences and assemble them in choreographic order in center- floor class demonstrations to enable extended performance of jazz repertoires.
- Differentiate among the components of different advanced jazz techniques by participating in a variety of performance experiences to broaden jazz knowledge.
- Adapt and adjust their practical experiences as a result of exposure to working professionals in the dance industry that increases their awareness of career requirements.
- Perform advanced jazz techniques during in-class auditions to increase viability for employment in the dance industry.

- Recognize one’s role in improving self-esteem and morale through involvement in an environment that includes practical training and positive reinforcement.
