Oak Bay was the first school in Victoria to welcome off shore students.

In 1991, 14 students arrived to take their grade 11 and 12 years at a Canadian School. You can imagine their trepidation, but also great excitement coming so far away from home to study. The program has steadily grown to the present day where we now have 120 grade 9-12 students from 11 different countries enrolled in the program.

The international students enrich our school by bringing their traditions, food, and interests to the other 1440 Canadian students. Thank you to the parents from these countries who offer this wonderful experience for their sons and daughters.

Oak Bay’s tradition of excellence in the academic, athletic and fine arts environments is well known on the Island and British Columbia. This nurturing learning community is a fine fit for these international students. Welcome all.
