Choir (for all Grade 9 through 12’s): First Rehearsal is TODAY (Monday) at Lunch, starting at 12:15 pm in Room 134. We encourage you to bring your food and connect with other singers at the beginning of lunch. Announcements will happen while you eat. *Everyone is welcome to join a variety of the Oak Bay choirs. You do NOT need to be currently signed up for choir. Please join us at our first rehearsal today.
Junior Vocal Jazz: First Rehearsal is Tuesday, after school, starting at 3:15 pm. We will be finished by 4:15 pm. *There is no need to audition for this ensemble. All interested students are welcome!
September is the month of the Cops for Cancer Fundraiser. TODAY, we are running Candy for Canvassing! If you have not already gotten a canvassing route, meet us at the social stairs at lunch to grab yourself a canvassing route and some candy. See you at the social stairs at lunch! Tomorrow morning at the start of school, we are doing Drop it in a Bucket for Cops for Cancer, so be sure to bring your extra cash to donate to a good cause

Volunteer Opportunity – UBC Medical Degree
Age 13-17 years, Jubilee Hospital
Island Medical Program (UBC Medical Degree) is seeking teenage volunteers aged 13-17 years to participate as patients in learning sessions with medical students. In these small group sessions, students are learning to interview adolescent patients and ask about a range of topics including – lifestyle, extra curricular activities, diet, mental health, home life, employment, education, drugs, sexuality and safety. Volunteer Patients are interviewed by two students and there is a tutor who is a practicing physician, and two other students present. The sessions happen in Oct/Nov on weekdays after school.
