Police Springboard – Are you interested in becoming a police officer? SD61 and Saanich Police have teamed up to give students a one-day taste of being an officer. The event will be on June 10th from 9:00 am – 2:30 pm. Students will have the opportunity to explore the world of policing through interactive demonstrations, behind-the-scenes tours, and scenario-based simulations. Pick up an application from Ms. Giesbrecht in the Career Centre. Applications are due June 4th.

Join us for a fun and fast-paced evening workshop where you’ll explore the big ideas behind screenwriting with an industry professional. Story Studio is running a free (by donation) two-hour workshop on screenwriting, led by award-winning filmmaker Mo Bradley. Canadian Coast Guard Days – June 6th. An interactive event for students to get excited about the Canadian Coast Guard and to showcase the various job opportunities within the organization. Oak Bay will take a small number of students to the event at 10:15 am on June 6th. Students can expect to leave Oak Bay at about 10:00 am and return back to school around 12:00 pm.
