The BIPOC Teen Art Residency – At Victoria Art Gallery. Free for teens in grades 10, 11, or 12 who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or a Person of Colour. This after-school program is a unique opportunity for teens to make contemporary art in workshops facilitated by local BIPOC artists, along with the opportunity to share their voice through podcasts, a published art catalogue of their work and a group exhibition at the Gallery.

Fashion & Interior Design Springboard – Students will explore the industries of interior design and fashion design through hands-on activities with PDA instructors: Perspective drawings with a grid, used for drawing interiors, and a two-part design, make, and customize tote bag project.
This is a one-day event on April 1st from 10 am – 3 pm at Pacific Design Academy, #200 – 8 Bastion Sq.
Grade 10, 11, and 12 students (20 seats available) are welcome to apply and can pick up an application from Ms. Giesbrecht in the career centre. The application must be returned to Ms. Giesbrecht by March 13th.

Royal Canadian Navy’s Fleet Maintenance Facility Cape Breton (FMFCB), which is at the Canadian Forces Base Esquimalt, is hiring students for their Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) from July 2 to August 26. This program is available to high school students in grades 11 & 12 who have an interest in working in the unique trades to support repair work to the naval fleet. These civilian positions provide 8 weeks of paid work experience supporting the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN). 2026 Wages – New FSWEP student – $18.69 / Returning FSWEP student – $19.78 – please note the new wages don’t come out until May, so this may increase. Application Packages Can be picked up in the career centre and must be completed in full and submitted by email to, esqfmfapprentices@forces.gc.ca no later than the end of the day 06 April 2026.
Camosun College Lansdowne Campus is hosting a Student Services & Program Information Fair on Wednesday, February 25th from 4:00-7:00 pm in Sherri Bell Hall, the Wilna Thomas Building. If you want to explore the campus, there will be campus tours at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30 pm. You will also have the opportunity to meet staff and connect with other new students to learn about programs.

Are you interested in a degree and a career that helps solve the most pressing environmental challenges society faces? The Faculty of Forestry at the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, is hosting monthly information sessions on January 13, February 12, and March 12.

Volunteering Opportunities
PISE is excited to announce that the TD Family Sport and Recreation Festival, will take place on Saturday, May 2nd from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at PISE. This is a FREE community event, and we are looking forward to welcoming families from across the region. We are currently seeking student volunteers who are interested in supporting the festival. Are you a student leader interested in a volunteer opportunity for high school students in community service, event planning, and making a meaningful impact? MS Canada is currently recruiting students to join their volunteer planning committee for their MS Walk in various roles, including Volunteer Coordinator, Route Coordinator, and Promotions Coordinator, as well as Day-of-Event Volunteers. Committee members attend one virtual meeting per month and volunteer in person on event day. The 2026 Victoria MS Walk takes place on Sunday, May 31st.

Job Opportunities
Pedalheads is hiring Instructors for Spring Break bike camps! This is a great opportunity to gain work and leadership experience, build up your resumes, spend time outside, and help kids learn how to bike.
Pedalheads offers programing for kids ages 2-12 where they learn about fundamental bike skills and develop a love for biking!
Camps will be held from March 16-20 and March 23-27 at:

Film Camp in a Box is looking for instructors to work at spring break and summer camps with kids between the ages of 9 – 14 to help make movies. You must have experience in film making and with iMovie or similar editing software.
