Oak Bay Senior Theatre Company Proudly Presents A Christmas Carol performing tonight, doors open at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $5.00 for students/seniors & $10.00 for adults and they can be purchased through school cash online or at the door.

Thank you, everyone, for contributing to the grade 9 leadership food drive. Together, we collected 1,300+ food items, filling over 40 boxes, and approximately $2400 in cash, online donations, and gift cards.
This will support 16 of our families with a food hamper and gift cards, plus food banks, and other SD61 community.

Congratulations to the Item Champs:  Ms. Taggart’s SS 9 with 257 items and $45

Congratulations to the Money Champs: Mr. Atkinson’s Anatomy 12 with $210 and 29 items

Honorable Mentions:

  • A single donor of $350 not attached to an A Block
  • Gillespie’s English 11 was a close second in the cash competition with $200 and 23 items
  • Weaver’s Band 10 had 123 items and $60 cash
  • Carmichael’s Physics 12 had 102 items and $26
  • McCartney’s IEP Math class WITH 4 STUDENTS and 3 EAs had 55 items

Volunteer Hours
This program allows students who participate to receive 15 volunteer hours that go towards graduation.
Our Program
Our program provides young leaders with an opportunity to develop essential skills such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and leadership. Through workshops, mentorship, and real-world projects, students will not only enhance their personal growth but also make a positive impact in their community.
Cohort Dates
Our teen cohort (13-18) runs this fall from January 19th to March 16th, 2025. We will also be sending out information regarding our second cohort starting in February soon.
