MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL:
As another holiday season approaches I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of the Oak Bay Nation, students, parents, staff and community for all that you do. In this season of giving it is so rewarding to look at all of the wonderful things this community does. Cops for Cancer started our year off to the tune of over $56,000 and that was just the beginning. The list of great things that we do for others in supporting worthy charities, helping to build schools, hospitals and homes in our community and across the globe speaks volumes about our traditions of empathy and help. We quickly ral-lied to support typhoon victims in the Philippines, we will be supporting needy Victoria families over the holidays and in March our students will again travel to Mexico on a Hero Holiday to build homes alongside the Mexican families they support.
All of this is a reflection of parenting, education, mentorship and modelling that a won-derful group of students display every day. To all of Oak Bay Nation have a wonderful and restful holiday.

We will be emailing a one-page “This Week @ Oak Bay Nation” each Monday with timely news and links to keep everyone better informed and more connected. We hope you like it. OAK BAY PAC
The Oak Bay PAC would like to invite you to attend our December 9, 2013 PAC meet-ing and social. The PAC meetings take place in the East Cafeteria (across from the main office) at 7 PM. At our December meeting we will be presenting our proposed 2013/2014 budget. Always an excellent source of information about the school, our meeting this month also includes a social, so join us for some holiday goodies and meet other parents at Oak Bay High School. Please also make sure you notice inside the report card envelope the OBSSSEE flyer. Please consider donating to this PAC fund as we raise money for important items needed within our school.
