The Canadian University Event will be in our gym on Tuesday September 25th from 8:30 am to 11:30 am. All Oak Bay students will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from 48 universities during this time. Grade 12’s are invited to come to the gym during block “F” and grade 11 during block “G”. All students are welcome to attend during Focus Block. Please refer to the Quick Link “Canadian University Event” on our website to see the attending universities.
The University of Calgary will be in the Career Centre on Friday September 21st at lunch.
Grade 11 students interested in writing the Practice SAT here at Oak Bay on October 10th from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm need to sign up as soon as possible. There are limited exams which will be allotted on a first come first serve basis. There is a $25 fee which must be paid in advance to reserve your seat. See Mrs. Giesbrecht in the Career Centre to sign up and receive study materials.
The school’s all-inclusive club THE GSA or PRIDE club will begin meeting every Tuesday at lunch in Room 208. Moss Street Market is looking for volunteers. Volunteers are not expected to participate every Saturday. We ask that they fill out the application though, so that they can be scheduled. At the moment, I am most in need for the Information Tent, Green Team, and Coffee Tent.
