Beginner Peer Counsellors reminder: your class begins at 3:30 today in the counselling meeting room.        

 C4C BOTTLE DRIVE- this Saturday – All Staff and students interested in helping with the C4C bottle drive come to the meeting at lunch today in the big gym

 C4C – anyone that would like to perform in a benefit show for Cops for Cancer today at lunch in Mr. Jacques room 300. Any talent is welcome (air band, lip sync battles, etc).

Sr. Girls Field Hockey Team – Important game today at  4:30 vs. Mt. Doug at the UVIC water turf.  Please be at the turf ready to go at 3:45.  Uniforms will be distributed at the game.  There is no need to leave school early.      *Development Girls Field Hockey Team – your next practice is tomorrow morning at 6:50 – 8:00 am at the Oak Bay Rec Center Indoor Turf.                                                                                                                                                                           

Junior Girls A and B Volleyball Teams –practice this tomorrow (Thursday)  after school in the big gym.

All of Mr. Worsley’s  Ceramics and Photography students from 2015 2016 please pick up any unclaimed work by today- Wednesday the 21st or it will be recycled. The space is needed.

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL – we are looking for one or two volunteer students to register new members for the “Club Day” event happening at lunch tomorrow Sept. 22.  See Mr. Lienard in room 221.

 CLUB DAY – anyone who applied for Student Council and wants to help out with Club Day tomorrow come to room 143 (Simpson) at lunch today

YOUTH AGAINST CANCER – meeting today at lunch in room in Ms. Taggart’s room 304, for anyone who is interested in joining

C4C GRADE CHALLENGE – outside the Accounts office are –  4 water jugs. One for each grade to fill up with $money for our Cops for Cancer campaign. Drop by and empty the change in your pockets  into your grade’s  jug and  let’s  get this  C4C challenge going and win some awesome prizes!

GRADE 9 – reminder to please hand in your white “Immunization Consent Form” envelope into the office before  next Thursday Sept. 29th.

 OPERA – Any interested students wanting to see the opera: Simon Boccanegra-Verdi –  dress  rehearsal  is on Tuesday, October 11 at the Royal Theatre @ 7:00pm. Tickets are $15 for students. See Manjit room 213 after school if interested.

ANY STUDENTS WHO PLAYS GOLF – you may be interested in the opportunity to go to Bear Mountain for the Pacific Links junior golf clinic this Sat. Sept 24th, which is in conjunction with the Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship.  This is a Senior PGA tournament and will be attended by many members of the golf Hall of Fame. See Mr. Carter in room 307 if you are interested as soon as possible.

CAREER CENTRE – PSAT – Attention grade 11 students interested in heading to a US university after high school.  You will have an opportunity to write the Practice SAT, (PSAT) on October 19th here at Oak Bay.  There is a $20.00 fee to write the exam and seating is limited.  Students will be offered a seat on a first come first served basis.  See Mrs. Giesbrecht in the Career Centre if you would like to sign-up.
