EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS FAIR – Interested in learning what it takes to get into the Career you want?  Check out the Employability Skills Fair today from 4pm to 7pm at the Work BC building on Douglas.

BADMINTON TEAM – Game tomorrow-Thursday at Victoria High 3:30. If you are attending,  please see Ms. Strom.

BELLY BALL TOURNAMENT – April 5-7  at lunch -there will be a Belly-Ball Tournament in the big gym.  The Sigh-Up sheet is in the office.  $5. Per team (6-8 players)  Prize for the winners.

OAK BAY SAILING CLUB – sailors please get your registration forms in to Mr. Schippers Room 312 this week. First Practice this Saturday 11:00 am at the Yacht club.

OAK BAY GOLF TEAM – Mr. Carter is organizing the Oak Bay Golf Team this week. There will be a sign-up for the season  meeting tomorrow- Thursday March 31st.

FOOD SAFE – Ms. Simpson will be teaching Food Safe next week April 4-8 for anyone who has a spare in blocks 1,2,4,5, 8. See Ms. Simpson in room 143 for the application form.

OPERA FANS – if you are interested in a chance to see “Midsummers Night Dream” at the Royal Theatre on Tuesday April 12th. at 7:00pm.  Tickets are only $15.00.  See Manjit in room 213 after school.

CAREER CENTRE – UVic is hosting an Assessment Conference this Saturday April 2nd.

“Everyone is welcome to attend ‘Assessment in a Time of Curriculum Change’, on April 2nd.  This is a conference for discussion and discovery about the role of assessment as the BC Curriculum, along with our thinking about Education, changes.

Join leaders from a variety of roles in Education on Southern Vancouver Island as they discuss their recent efforts to rethink assessment in their schools and classrooms. *There are two great summer work experiences available for students from the Greater Victoria School District.   1. Moksha Yoga is looking for students interested in doing 32 hours of work experience in either July or August.  You will need to commit to two 4 hour shifts per week for 4 weeks. Applicants must be 16 years of age. The studio is open all day, so shifts could include 10am – 2pm, 2-6pm or 6-10pm.                 2.    Belleville’s Premium Quality Watering Hole and Diner is offering a summer work experience opportunity for students interested in the Culinary and Hospitality Industry.  Applicants must be 15 years old and available for 4 to 6 hour day, evening and/or weekend shifts.    If you are interested in either of these opportunities please see Mrs. Giesbrecht in the Career Centre for an application.  More detailed information on these two work experiences can be found on the Career Centre website.
