REMINDER – All Jr. and Sr. peer counsellors to the small gym at focus block today.
TODAY & Every Wednesday – during focus block students will spend time learning about mindfulness and other relaxation techniques while engaging in low-impact physical education in the small gym. Mindfulness activities include – Stretching, Yoga, Body focus work, Relaxing music with vocally lead mindfulness activities. Everyone welcome.
CANADA 150 YEARS CELEBRATION – Come join us for our “Remembering Our Canada” celebration theatre performance “Undertold Stories” TONIGHT- Wednesday March 15th at 6:00 pm in the Theatre.
CONGRATULATIONS – to the Junior Boys, Senior Boys and the Girl’s rugby teams. They all won the SD62 Rugby 7’s tournament yesterday at West Shore.
LOST AND FOUND ITEMS – will be on display this week in the main hall. Please take only what belongs to you. Leftovers will be going to WIN on Friday . Teachers- if you have any lost items in your classroom, feel free to add it to the table.
GRAD CEREMONY AND Grad DINNER DANCE – REMINDER – Fees are due into the office no later than this Friday March 17th.
GRAD 2017 – All the information you and your grads need to know about Oak Bay High Grad 2017 is available on the school website. To access this information from the website, select “Student Info” – “Oak Bay High School Grad 2017” and then click on the appropriate grad hat. This year we will not be emailing information to parents and students individually. The Grad 2017 website will be updated as more information is available.
CAREER CENTRE – Encounters With Canada is offering $50. off for the first three session, Arts & Culture, Sports & Fitness and Law & our Justice System at the beginning of the school year in September. If you register for one of these before May 1st you will get another $35. off and you could also win $150.00 Rideau Centre Gift Cert. See Mrs. Giesbrecht if you are interested.

*Coast Capital Savings is currently accepting applications until Friday, March 31, 2017 at 4:00pm for the Youth Get It Intern program. This program gives Grade 11 and 12 students a unique work experience opportunity to work full time during July and August, as well as every Saturday when they’re back in school. The Youth Get It Intern program is a one-year commitment, from July 1, 2017 to July 1, 2018. To be eligible to apply, students must be: Entering Grade 11 or 12 in September 2017, live in Greater Victoria and must be available to work full-time during the summer months.
