ANTI-BULLY DAY – tomorrow Wednesday – wear your Pink Shirt. Leadership is selling them at lunch in the Student Plaza.

THIS THURSDAY FEB. 23 – Team Planning and Study Hall no Block 4. Block 8 starts at 9:26.

 REMINDER To all grade 9 and 10 Phys. Ed. students – please bring a “Toonie” for the Class of Arrows this week.

JUNIOR GIRLS SOCCER: See Ms. Horton to sign-up. The first try out will be today Tuesday Feb. 21 from 3:15-5pm on the soccer turf.

 TRACK AND FIELD – First meeting for all students that want to get involved, tomorrow  Feb. 22 at lunch in the big Gym. There is an event for every athlete.

GIRLS RUGBY- practice after school tomorrow- Wednesday on the soccer turf.

 GRADWEAR 2017 –  Only 3 days to try on sample sizes for your grad wear.  Come to Nutty’s Locker at lunch.

GRAD 2017 – All the information you and your grads need to know about Oak Bay High Grad 2017 is available on the school website.  To access this information from the website, select “Student Info” – “Oak Bay High School Grad 2017” and then click on the appropriate grad hat.  This year we will not be emailing information to parents and students individually.  The Grad 2017 website will be updated as more information is available.

SCHOOL MUSICAL – STARTS THIS FRIDAY ! – “Legally Blonde” tickets are on sale at the Accounts office –  Show Dates are: Feb. 24, 25, Mar. 1, 2, 3 & 4 7:30 pm.   Matinee  Feb. 26 at 2:00 pm.

 YEARBOOKS – The yearbook lists are posted outside the Accounts Office next to the main office. If your name is on the list you have already purchased a yearbook.  If you are not on the list and you wish to order a yearbook you still can until Tuesday Feb. 28th  from Ms. Carbery.  The cost is $55.00.  Please do not phone or email the school regarding your order.  If you have any questions about the list please see Ms. Carbery in Accounts.

CAREER CENTREMacEwan University will be setting up a booth outside the Career Centre at lunch on Wednesday Feb 22nd.  If you are interested in learning more about the programs at MacEwan please stop by to speak with the representative.

*Applications are now open for the 2017 Vancouver Island Youth Parliament Session, March 10-12 on Salt Spring Island.  VIYP provides a forum in which youth can develop skills in leadership, public speaking, and the parliamentary process, and put these skills into practice through service to youth in their community.  More information and applications are in the Career Centrer.  Application deadline is March 1st to Mrs. Giesbrecht.  If you have any questions contact Sophie Sacilotto (sophiesacilotto@mgail.com).

*Butchart Gardens- is looking to hire students for its busy season. Applications and information can be found in the Career Centre for food services, visitor services, custodial services, Seed and Gift Store, and gardening.
