CROSS COUNTRY -King’s Cross Country Invite Results   Oak Bay won the boy’s race and finished a very close second in the girl’s race at the King’s cross country invitation held September 24th in Edmonds, WA.  Grade 12 Tyler Dozzi finished second overall to lead the defending BC Boys Champions to the win with classmate Jack Stanley following close behind in 5th place.  Other scoring members of the team included grade 10 Joe Robertson and grade 12s Jack Cooper and Malcolm Harrison.  Grade 11 Justine Stecko won the girl’s race by a wide margin to pace the Oak Bay girls.  Grade 10s Alisa Lyesina and Sarah Bryan earned top 10 finishes.  The other scoring team members were grade 11 Cara Butler and grade 9 Chloe Hoffman.  Leading the scream total at the Georgetown Morgue Mystery Tour event the evening before were grade 11 Abigail Andiel, grade 10 Annika Weir, and Coach Kubicek.  Full results:  http://bit.ly/2deA3M1

OB TENNIS CLUB-  for staff and students begins tomorrow morning –  7am till 8:15.  All welcome.

OAK BAY PLANNING ON LINE – There will be a very brief meeting tomorrow at lunch for all Oak Bay Planning On-Line students in Room 304.(Taggart)

C4C BENEFIT FASHION and ART SHOW – Tomorrow Sept. 30. Doors open at 7:00pm in the small gym.   Our 2017 Grad class will be showcasing the latest  fall trends from local shops.  Tickets are now on sale in the Accounts office.  Students $8.00…..Adults $10.00.  Tell your family and friends.

 C4C GRADE CHALLENGE – outside the Accounts office are –  4 water jugs. One for each grade to fill up with $money for our Cops for Cancer campaign. Drop by and empty the change in your pockets  into your grade’s  jug and  let’s  get this  C4C challenge going….. win some awesome prizes!

GRADE 9 – reminder to please hand in your white “Immunization Consent Form” envelope into the office, deadline is this Monday Oct. 3rd.

 CAREER CENTRE – PSAT – Attention grade 11 students interested in heading to a US university after high school.  You will have an opportunity to write the Practice SAT, (PSAT) on October 19th here at Oak Bay.  There is a $20.00 fee to write the exam and seating is limited.  Students will be offered a seat on a first come first served basis.  See Mrs. Giesbrecht in the Career Centre if you would like to sign-up

*Mark your calendar and register early.  BROWN, CORNELL, DARTMOUTH, HARVARD, PENN, PRINETON & STANFORD will be in town on Sunday October 16th.  If you plan to apply to one of these universities you may attend an information session at 7:00 pm at Glenlyon Norfolk School 801 Bank St.  register on line or call them.
