C4C BOTTLE DRIVE- Saturday – All Staff and students interested in helping with the C4C bottle drive come to the meeting at lunch today in the big gym.

C4C BENEFIT FASHION SHOW – Friday Sept. 30th at 7:30 in the theatre.  Our 2017 Grad class will be showcasing the latest fall trends from local shops. Tickets are now on sale in the Accounts office. Students $8.00…..Adults $10.00. Tell your family and friends.

 Junior Girls A Volleyball Teampractice today after school in the big gym. Teachers: Please dismiss the Junior Girls B volleyball team at 2:45 today for their game at PCS.

CLUB DAY –check out our many clubs today at lunch in the main hall.

C4C GRADE CHALLENGE – outside the Accounts office are –  4 water jugs. One for each grade to fill up with $money for our Cops for Cancer campaign. Drop by and empty the change in your pockets  into your grade’s  jug and  let’s  get this  C4C challenge going and win some awesome prizes!

GRADE 9 – reminder to please hand in your white “Immunization Consent Form” envelope into the office before  next Thursday Sept. 29th.

 OPERA – Any interested students wanting to see the opera: Simon Boccanegra-Verdi –  dress  rehearsal  is on Tuesday, October 11 at the Royal Theatre @ 7:00pm. Tickets are $15 for students. See Manjit room 213 after school if interested.

ANY STUDENTS WHO PLAYS GOLF – you may be interested in the opportunity to go to Bear Mountain for the Pacific Links junior golf clinic this Sat. Sept 24th, which is in conjunction with the Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship.  This is a Senior PGA tournament and will be attended by many members of the golf Hall of Fame. See Mr. Carter in room 307 if you are interested as soon as possible.

CAREER CENTRE – PSAT – Attention grade 11 students interested in heading to a US university after high school.  You will have an opportunity to write the Practice SAT, (PSAT) on October 19th here at Oak Bay.  There is a $20.00 fee to write the exam and seating is limited.  Students will be offered a seat on a first come first served basis.  See Mrs. Giesbrecht in the Career Centre if you would like to sign-up

* UVic’s School of Health Information Sciences is hosting an information session next  Wednesday September 28th from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the HSD Building A270.  Drop by and enjoy some pizza and refreshments while you learn about information technology in healthcare.  For more information visit http://hinf.uvic.ca

*Mark your calendar and register early.  BROWN, CORNELL, DARTMOUTH, HARVARD, PENN, PRINETON & STANFORD will be in town on Sunday October 16th.  If you plan to apply to one of these universities you may attend an information session at 7:00 pm at Glenlyon Norfolk School 801 Bank St.  register on line or call them.
