CHOIR SPRING SING – Tomorrow night 7:00PM IN THE  Dave Dunnet Theatre.

SCIENCE FAIR PROJECTS – Tomorrow afternoon during blocks 2 and 4, (no block 3)  the Science 9 and 10 Honours classes will be presenting their science fair projects in the cafeteria space.  Topics covered range from engineering to microbiology to psychology, but all serve to answer their driving question, what question did they want to answer.  We would like to invite any teachers to bring their classes through to view the projects and ask students questions about their projects.

 EPIC SHOWDOWN – Basketball game tomorrow at lunch.  Oak Bay Grads vs Teachers.  Don’t miss it!

GRAD DINNER DANCE MOVIE – Mr. Carmichael needs photos/videos to make the Grad Dinner-Dance movie ASAP.  It takes many hours to make and he needs to get started now.

Oak Bay Leadership- EARTH WEEK this  week our project we will be running Earth Week from April 18th-22nd. Wednesday – Water coolers with flavoured water. FRIDAY –Bowker Creek clean-up during focus, meet at the outdoor classroom behind our future field.

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP -reminder to keep raising money this week. Community Leadership is challenging all Advisories to raise money for the SPCA.  The Advisory  with the most money by May 9th  will win a Pizza Lunch for their Advisory.  Advisory Teachers,  your fundraising envelopes are in your mail drawer,  in the office, send a runner to pick them up today to start collecting!

*St. Andrew’s University Scotland will have a representative in the Career Centre at lunch on Monday May 25th.  If you have any questions or would like to learn more about studying in Scotland please attend the presentation.

*uStart Applications are due in to Mrs. Giesbrecht by the end of day tomorrow Thursday April 21st.  I will be in and out of my office for the next few days so please leave them in the main office if you can’t find me.

*UBC is offering an Intensive French Summer Institute for high school students ages 15 to 18 who have completed grade 9 French.  Gain confidence in your ability to speak French and participate in conversations in this intensive one week course.  Monday to Friday July 4-8, 9am-3:30pm.  $440 + tax until June 3; $453+ tax after.  There are only 30 seats available so register soon at www.cstudies.ubc.ca/high-school  or call 604-822-1444.
