AMP math or outside-the-timetable Math.
Would you like to do math faster or on your own?  Some students can complete 1,2 or even three math classes in one year.   You can join or stop at any time.  AMP is for independent learners.   Please come to an info meeting in room 309 TODAY at lunch.

Grads!  A reminder that payment has now opened for Grad Pinnies and can be purchased through school cash online or through the Accountant in the office.  Payment closes Monday, September 25th so get your orders in.

Any students interested in getting their Food Safe Certificate, please contact Ms. Simpson.

Grade 12’s – If you would like to apply for the LORAN or TD Award and are ready to put the work into applying, please meet with Mr. Alexander on WEDNESDAY the 20th @ 3:00 in the Career Center to go over the process of how best to prep for the application.  Both are open applications.  

Oak Bay students are invited to the VICE Fair, a USA Colleges & Universities Fair at St. Michaels University on October 3rd from 3:30pm – 5 at 3400 Richmond Rd. (senior school) (single gym)

UVic School of Health Information Science is hosting an Open House on Thursday, September 28th, from 4:30-6:00pm at the University of Victoria’s Human and Social Development building (HSD) in room A264. Learn more about how health informatics is changing the world by bridging health care, management, and technology. This is a wonderful opportunity to find out more about their programs and the rewarding careers graduates experience. They would be delighted if you could attend their Open House to meet faculty, hear about educational and research programs, and tour their state-of-the-art labs. Complimentary pizza will be served! 

Camosun Centre for Sport & Exercise Education is having an information session on October 20, 2023, from 10-11am at the Alex & Jo Campbell Centre for Health & Wellness (CHW) 407 or online via Zoom This free information session features information about applying for admission to one of Centre for Sport & Exercise Education’s programs:

Fall Fairfield, presented by the Fairfield Gonzales Community Association (FGCA), is an annual music, arts, crafts and food festival set in the heart of Fairfield is looking for volunteers. The festival is a free, all-ages, community event celebrating local businesses and non-profits, artists, performers, and people across Victoria in recognition of our dynamic culture and the harvest season. Volunteer roles vary and every student is bound to find something that’s suitable for them! Some roles include craft station leaders, roller skating attendants, pie contest manager, an emcee, green team leaders, and more! Click Fall Fairfield to get involved.

The Canadian Cancer Society is offering a virtual volunteer fair the evening of Monday, September 18th at 4 pm. They will cover a variety of volunteer opportunities for students from event planning to advocacy. Go to www.cancer.ca/volunteerfair  for more information.
