There will be a quick Cops 4 Cancer meeting at the start of lunch TODAY in the small gym for students who are interested in shaving their heads in support of the cause. In addition we need more canvassers so please come to the meeting in you are interested
Are you interested in playing field hockey on a fun, low-pressure team? Come play for Oak Bay’s girl’s development team. No experience or equipment necessary. Come try it out and meet the team!
First practices are Tuesday and Friday after school this week, with official dates and times to come. Sign up with the form in the office! See you there!
All students interested in participating in the Senior Musical Matilda, please come to the Theatre after school on Wednesday for a short information meeting.
There will be a short meeting at the start of lunch on Wednesday for all boys who want to play rugby later in the year. The meeting will be in room 231.
Swim Team is starting! If you are interested in learning more, please come to the social staircase on Wednesday, September 13th at lunch.
Choir Schedule for this Week:
*Everyone is welcome to join the various Oak Bay choirs. You do NOT need to be currently signed up for choir. Please join us at our first rehearsals.
Junior Concert Choir (Grade 9 and 19’s): First Rehearsal is TODAY at Lunch starting at 12:20pm in Room 134. We encourage you to bring your food and connect with other singers at the beginning of lunch.
Junior Vocal Jazz: First Rehearsal is Tuesday after school starting at 3:20pm. We will be finished by 4:45pm. *There is no need to audition for this ensemble. All interested students are welcome!
Men’s Choir: First Rehearsal is Wednesday morning starting at 7:50am.
Melodia Della Mattina (Treble Choir): First Rehearsal is Thursday morning starting at 7:50am.

UBC will not be attending the CUE or coming to Oak Bay for an information session again this year. All of their information sessions this year will be online. Canadian University Event 2023
September 26th at Oak Bay in the large gym from 8:30am-11:30 am.
There will be 50 universities for students to connect with and learn more about post-secondary options. Please see the link for a list of the attending universities. https://oakbaycareercentre.weebly.com/
American University Info session: Please join us for a session with admissions officers representing each of the Ivy+ institutions. This group includes Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Princeton University, Stanford University, University of Pennsylvania, and Yale University.
Admissions officers will address issues of particular concern to students applying from Canada. Topics to be covered include highly selective holistic admissions, liberal arts institutions, the financial aid process, and changes in the application process for the coming cycle. We’ll be welcoming questions from attendees during the program and look forward to an engaging program! Please click the link to register.
