Congratulations to the Oak Bay cross country team at their island championships in Port Alberni yesterday. Our junior girls team finished 2nd with a 6th place finish from Sara Campbell. Our junior boys team finished in 1st place with Charli Mlotshwa winning the race and Will Powell finishing in 4th place overall. The senior girls team came in 1st with Izzy Joiner finishing in 6th place and our senior boys team also finished 1st overall with Tyler Browne winning the race and Owen Lewis placing 5th. Congratulations to all teams for qualifying to the BC championships at Royal Roads, We wish you the best of luck!!

The School of Health Information Science has the most comprehensive and established undergraduate program in the study of health informatics in Canada, offering two programs including a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Science and a Combined Major in Computer Science and Health Information Science. Have you thought about becoming a Police Officer?
Police Camp is back! It will take place the first week of Spring Break (March 18th to 25th) and is open to grade 10, 11 and 12. Police Camp is a unique youth leadership program providing high school students the opportunity to grow their personal and team leadership skills through a policing, public safety, and public service lens. Over eight days, students will be involved in classroom lectures discussing a wide variety of topics, be led through challenging daily physical training and activity, participate in day and night simulations, practice drill instruction, learn social responsibility and life skills, and much more. As students build self-confidence and interpersonal relations with their peers in a team-based environment, they will also build long-term connections with members of our police services. Explore UVic – On Saturday, November 26th the University of Victoria will welcome prospective students and their families to our beautiful campus for the first campus wide open house since 2019. “Explore UVic” will feature campus tours including residence buildings, sample lectures, student experience panels and more. House of Commons Page Program – Recruiting 40 bilingual students graduating from high school to participate. Apps due Nov. 6. Are you interested in becoming a page and being part of an unforgettable year-long experience? The page program hires a new cohort of 40 students annually. (Grade 12’s may apply) Its recruitment campaign begins every September, and those applying must be looking to enroll in their first year of university or college the following September.

Baptist Housing operates Shannon Oaks an independent living seniors home (just opposite Save on Foods), and Marion Village an Assisted Living/Independent Living community opposite Oak Bay Rec Center.
