Oak Bay will once again be holding a Student Vote to run alongside Federal Election. It is a real way to prepare students for their democratic rights and responsibility. Our voting day will be Friday, Sept 17 from 9:05 – 2pm.  All teachers are asked to bring down their classes in blocks A or B, and students with spares can come when things quieten down.  We want a massive turnout (unlike the real political realm) and our results will be forwarded to the CBC who broadcasts on Election Night (Sept. 20).  It is always interesting to see how student opinions differ from the general electorate.
If you have questions, please contact: Mrs. Gillespie or Mr. Sran.  GET OUT THE VOTE!

Pender Island Firefighter Camp will take place March 21-26, 2022.  The applications are due into Ms. Giesbrecht by Sept 22nd.  If you are in grade 11 or 12 and interested, pick up an application in the Career Centre.  Go to the website for more information but NOTE: the deadlines are not correct.  The application is due on Sept 22nd no later  If you apply using the application form on the website you must let Ms. Giesbrecht so the district can keep track of who has applied.
