Connect to Care is hosting a bake sale at lunch on November 15th, all proceeds will be donated to the BCSPCA.

Ski & Snowboard Team – information packages are available in the office for anyone who missed the initial meeting.  Complete the required google form as soon as possible (QR code is included in the paperwork).  

Junior Boys second team tryouts are Wednesday, November 16th at 5 PM

Poetry Club is hosting their second book sale in front of the Cafeteria TODAY at lunch.  All paperbacks will be $3 and all hardcovers are $5.  We hope to see you there.

Senior Boys second team tryouts are Tuesday, November 15th at 8 PM

Youth Centre will now be open after school on Tuesdays instead of Mondays for the month of November.

Nov. 17th – Katimavik Info session @ lunch in the Career Centre.  Katimavik is a life-changing experience for young adults to explore Canada, make new friendships, gain valuable experience and contribute to positive change through volunteerism. If you are thinking of a gap year after high school come and learn about the opportunities they offer.

Guelph University Upcoming Virtual Information Sessions
Guelph is hosting two virtual information sessions for prospective students this fall students may be interested in attending. Details are as follows:
What: Grade 12 Information Sessions
Where: students are encouraged to register in advance here
When: Thursday December 1 – from 5-8pm EDT (2-5pm PST)
Format: We are offering six 30-minute information sessions. The event is free to attend.
Students who pre-register will receive a reminder email with link to join the event and will have the option to select which session they’d like to attend on the day (i.e., they’re not registering for a specific session in advance). 

EducationUSA Canada Virtual Showcase – Southern USA
In November, EducationUSA has a real TREAT for you! We have our second virtual Showcase event highlighting the South region. This event includes booths with 20 U.S. universities and colleges from the southern United States and webinars with TRICKS to improve your application! Have you thought about becoming a Police Officer?
Police Camp is back!  It will take place the first week of Spring Break (March 18th to 25th) and is open to grade 10, 11 and 12.  Police Camp is a unique youth leadership program providing high school students the opportunity to grow their personal and team leadership skills through a policing, public safety, and public service lens. Over eight days, students will be involved in classroom lectures discussing a wide variety of topics, be led through challenging daily physical training and activity, participate in day and night simulations, practice drill instruction, learn social responsibility and life skills, and much more. As students build self-confidence and interpersonal relations with their peers in a team-based environment, they will also build long-term connections with members of our police services. Volunteering Opportunities

The Volunteer Coordinator for Baptist Housing is looking for volunteers who would like to volunteer regularly though the year.  Baptist Housing operates Shannon Oaks an independent living seniors home (just opposite Save on Foods), and Marion Village an Assisted Living/Independent Living community opposite Oak Bay Rec Center.   Students would help with activities, or with technology assistance.  They are also looking for performance level musicians.  Would you like to Volunteer with Baptist Housing?
