Shad is for grade 10 and 11 students who want to live-on a university campus, dive into hands-on STEAM and entrepreneurship learning, tackle a real-world problem, and make strides in their confidence, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. Each summer, 1000 students join the program and leave with lifelong connections, increased confidence, new career paths, awakened passions and university-aged mentors.  All this in 27 days.  At Shad students collaborate and build meaningful relationships outside of their home province. Each campus, and each design team, has a mix of rural and urban participants from diverse economic backgrounds. Students learn the value of their own perspective and the differing perspectives of those around them.  Go to www.shad.ca for more information and to apply.  Shad applications are open now and the deadline to apply is December 6th at 11:59pm ET.
