GRAD SONG REHEARSALS – IMPORTANT –TODAY Monday June 2, at Lunch, West Studio AND Tuesday June 3, at Lunch, West GYM. Wed. June 4th. Grad Ceremony rehearsal at UVIC starts at 8:30 am. Ceremony begins promptly at 6:30 pm Wed. evening.
CHOIR CONCERT – Year end Choir concert is TONIGHT at 7:00 pm in the Theatre.
LEADERSHIP – IMPORTANT – All students in Leadership taking part in the “New Leader Orientation” meet TODAY at 3:15, at the entrance of the track oval. Please be on time.
* Congratulations to the Oak Bay Track and Field Team – on their very successful weekend finishing 2nd at the recent Provincial championships for the overall team banner. The team narrowly missed out on the overall banner by one point over New Westminster, 88-89. The entire team put in an amazing effort and came away with success. The highlight was the first place finish for the Sr. Boys who captured their third provincial championship. The Sr. Girls finished 3rd overall and the Jr. Boys were also 3rd place finishers. The team finished second in the overall team title missing out on first by a single point. Individual medal winners included Nick Taylor who captured gold in the 400m race. Danica Postle was a silver medalist in the triple jump. The Jr. Boys 4×100 m relay were also gold medal winners and silver medalists in the 4x400m. Lucas Petruzelli was a silver medalist in the mens pole vault and the Sr. mens 4×400 team were silver medalist. Derek Brougham finished third in the mens decathlon, Nicola Horwood bronze in the pole vault, Max McCulloch Bronze in the Steeplechase, Jack Stanley bronze in the 3000m. Over 21 different athletes and relay teams had top 8 finishes.

FOR STUDENTS – Pizza Tag Lunch is back. Bring Back to the library all your overdue books and ones you no longer need and your Tag has the opportunity to win Pizza’s !!! We have decided to extend the Pizza Tag Lunch till Wednesday Jun 4. We will announce winners on Thursday Jun 5. If any students are still using their overdue textbboks please let the library know and we will extend the dates.
