THIS WEEK: Monday– Pro-D day-no school.           Tuesday– Advisory & Assemblies Bl.6 Grade 10.   Bl.7 Grade 11.   Bl.8 Grade 12.     Wednesday – School Photos.    Thursday- Team Planning and Study Hall no Block 2, also Club Day (lunch main Hall) and Open House/C4C Silent Auction 6:30-9pm.     Saturday – C4C Bottle Drive@Oak Bay High- Volunteers welcome!

All of Mr. Worsley’s  Ceramics and Photography students from 2015 2016 please pick up any unclaimed work by this Wednesday the 21st or it will be recycled. The space is needed.

AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL – we are looking for one or two volunteer students to register new members for the “Club Day” event happening at lunch this Thursday Sept. 22.  See Mr. Lienard in room 221.

OAK BAY STRINGS CLASS – the first Strings class has moved to tomorrow- Tuesday Sept. 20, and will NOT be held today.  Strings classes will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30- 5:00pm with Ms. Haas.

JUNIOR GIRLS VOLLEYBALL – Tryouts today Monday (Sept 19 yes, it is a Pro-d day) from 3:30 – 5:00pm. *Please note that games during the season are Monday after school.

GIRLS FIELD HOCKEY – Next practice is Tuesday, Sept 20th 6:45 – 8:00 on the new turf.

 C4C GRADE CHALLENGE – outside the Accounts office are –  4 water jugs. One for each grade to fill up with $money for our Cops for Cancer campaign!  The grade names that raises the most money in their jug will be entered in a draw to win some awesome prizes.  Drop by and empty the change in your pockets  into your grade’s  jug and  let’s  get this  C4C challenge going!

GRADE 9 – reminder to please hand in your white “Immunization Consent Form” envelope into the office before Thursday Sept. 29th.

OPERA – Any interested students wanting to see the opera: Simon Boccanegra-Verdi –  dress  rehearsal  is on Tuesday, October 11 at the Royal Theatre @ 7:00pm. Tickets are $15 for students. See Manjit room 213 after school if interested.

ANY STUDENTS WHO PLAYS GOLF – you may be interested in the opportunity to go to Bear Mountain for the Pacific Links junior golf clinic this Sat. Sept 24th, which is in conjunction with the Pacific Links Bear Mountain Championship.  This is a Senior PGA tournament and will be attended by many members of the golf Hall of Fame such as Vijay Singh, Colin Montgomerie and John Cook. Some of these pros will be giving instruction during the clinic, and there will be other perks as well…golf equipment etc.  See Mr. Carter in room 307 if you are interested as soon as possible.

CAREER CENTRE –Rotary Student Exchange Applications are in the Career Centre.  The deadline to apply is this  Fri. Sept. 23rd.  please see Mrs. Giesbrecht for more details as soon as possible if you are interested.
