ADVISORY TEACHERS – Please find in your mail drawers in the office the Grad Schedule for your Grade 12’s Grad Photo sitting appointments, to hand out in Advisory today.  Grad Photos are next week in the Black Box.  Appointment  listings  are also posted on the office window and up in the Grad Corner on the second floor.

GIRLS FIELD HOCKEY – Development Team Field Hockey has a game today (Monday Oct. 17th.) 3:30 at UVIC (turf field).  Please arrive by 2:45.  Teachers, please allow the girls to leave early to make it on time.  Fees and forms are due before the game.       Next Practice is tomorrow Tuesday October 18th. at  6:50-8:00am indoor turf at Oak Bay Rec.

WE SCARE HUNGER FOOD DRIVE – is going on right now. Bring non-perishable food items to the boxes outside the Library. There will be a competition on Monday Oct. 31st. to see which team can stack the most cans. Sign-up sheet and more is in the office.

WHERE’S NUTTY IS BACK- the clue from Student Counsel this week is: “ Most of these have been replaced on a wall it is braced, take note and listen, don’t talk, you will find Nutty where you write in chalk!”

LEADERSHIP STUDENTS – Any leadership students interested in attending the Me to We Conference November 3rd in Vancouver, please see Ms. Taggart today in Room 304 to pick up an application.  Forms must be returned by THIS Wednesday, October 19th.

STUDENTS – if anyone has a bright yellow Leadership T-shirt at home, would you please return it to Ms. Taggart as soon as possible.

JUNIOR GIRLS BASKETBALL players: Tryouts for Junior Girls basketball will be held today at 3:30-5:00pm (Small Gym), tomorrow Oct 18th. 5:00 – 6:30 (Big Gym), Wednesday Oct 19th. 3:30 – 5pm (Small Gym). See you in the gym!  Lisa Green

 The Live Different presentation will take place during block 3 this morning, October 17th in the theatre. The presentation was introduced at the staff meeting last month.

CAREER CENTRE – Oak Bay is hosting a Post-Secondary Options Evening TONIGHT at 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Theatre for parents and students.  UVic, Camosun, and Lattitude, a global volunteering organization, will be here to provide you with information on their programs, admissions process, and how to apply.

 PSAT – Attention grade 11 students interested in heading to a US university after high school.  You will have an opportunity to write the Practice SAT, (PSAT) this Wed. October 19th here at Oak Bay.  There is a $20.00 fee to write the exam and seating is limited.  Students will be offered a seat on a first come first served basis.  See Mrs. Giesbrecht in the Career Centre if you would like to sign-up.
