KIWI’S TODAY – we have kiwis today from the BC fruit and veggie program. Send a runner from your advisory to – under the social staircase to pick up today’s advisory’s Kiwis. Enjoy!The Support and Empowerment Club are creating a display for Anti-Bullying Day (Feb 24th). We are asking for your support, and your student’s participation for this display.

TODAY – Monday Feb 15th students from the Youth and Empowerment club will be visiting advisory’s’ and dropping off pink slips of paper with questions on them. We are asking that your students answer the questions (if they are willing to).   The questions/answers will be used to create the anti-bullying display.   The questions will be:   I feel welcomed at school when…           I feel safe at school when…       and     I think ___________________ is a form of bullying.       Students can write their answers directly on the pink slips.     Students from the club will pick the pink slips up before the end of advisory. In the event that the slips cannot be picked up in time, we ask that you drop the slips off to Ms. Kim Rowe’s mailbox in the main office.   We thank you in advance for your participation in this display!   Thank you from the Support and Empowerment Club .

TRACK AND FIELD – Tuesday at Lunch. Any and all students interested in Track and Field bring your lunch and meet in the Big Gym. Come be part of Oak Bay’s biggest team! This for anyone who wants to try any event in grades 9 to 12.

Wednesday at lunch in Room 210. All Track athletes – who are planning on going to Florida in 2017 need to meet. Mandatory for all!!

MISSING GRAD WRITE-UPS – for the yearbook. CAREER CENTRE – *HIRING NOW  this –THURSDAY – Feb 18th. at lunch,  MCpl / Cplc Seth Van Loon of 11 (Victoria) Field Ambulance will be in the Career Centre to speak with anyone interested in becoming a Medical Assistant part time for the Army Reserves.  Once you are in college or university there is federal funding of up to $8000 dollars to pursue post-secondary education.

 

OAK BAY HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THEATRE PRESENTS- “Bye Bye Birdie” tickets on sale in the Accounts office next to the office. Starts Friday Feb. 19th. Adults – $12. Students/Seniors-$10.

GRADE 9 DODGEBALL – Any grade 9’s who would like to sign-up for Student Council’s first annual Dodge ball

Tournament on Tuesday Feb. 23 at lunch, the sign-up sheet is in the office. All grade 9’s welcome!

STUDENT PARKING LOT – is the big lot at end of Goldsmith Ave by the track oval. Do not park in the STAFF PARKING lots.

IT’S YEARBOOK TIME!!     PLEASE CHECK THE ADVISORY LISTS POSTED ON THE BOARD ACROSS FROM THE BLACK BOX to see if you paid for this year’s yearbook. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ORDER A YEARBOOK OR IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING YOUR ORDER PLEASE SEE MRS CARBERY IN THE ACCOUNTS OFFICE. *DEADLINE Monday February 29.

STUDENTS – Please do not bring $50. and $100. dollar bills to school. We cannot get you change. The Bank will change it for you.
