Do you want to take part in restoring Oak Bay parks? We are excited about our upcoming activity at Uplands Park on Saturday, June 4 from 1:00PM-4:15PM. This activity is made possible through our partnership with the District of Oak Bay and the Friends of Uplands Park. This forest needs some serious TLC, as invasive species have taken over and the trees are in danger! We need all hands on deck for some great hands-on habitat restoration. Join in on the fun, meet lots of good people and have some great snacks!  Sign Up Here: https://www.meetup.com/Greater-Victoria-Green-Team/events/285956543/The Activity will focus on removing invasive plant species, primarily Daphne and English Ivy, from the Garry Oak meadows at Uplands Park at the Midland Rd entrance. This is very important to protect native plants and the biodiversity of this beautiful park! If you can’t join this time, we are going to be having lots more events in the coming months. Please spread the word to your colleagues, friends and family!

Your students aged 15 to 18 can get a head start on their academic goals with the UBC Future Global Leaders program. This pre-university program is a great way for your students to work out what their passions are while they’re still in high school, and prepare for success at university and beyond by studying a popular course without the stress of exams. Students can attend either online courses that last three weeks or join us on campus in Vancouver, for two-week courses (that combine morning classes, afternoon workshops, and fun social activities). Future Global Leaders runs on various dates in July and August.
