Morning Girls Soccer has started but it’s not too late to join.  Meet out on the turf Mondays and Thursdays at 7:45 am.

Do you love board games and food?  On Thursday, March 17th after school until 5:00pm there will be a fun board game night with lots of pizza and treats available, hosted by Connect 2 Care.  Look around the school for posters with a QR code to sign up by yourself or with a friend.

FLEET MAINTENANCE FACILITY(CB) FSWEP Hire 2022
Fleet Maintenance Facility Cape Breton will be accepting applications for the following trades as part of the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) 2022. (10-12 Students will be hired)  You must be between 16-19years of age and currently enrolled in grade 11 or 12.  See the Career Centre website for more details on the requirements.  https://oakbaycareercentre.weebly.com/work–volunteer  Applications can be picked up from Ms. Giesbrecht and must be returned completed by April 8th.

Grade 12’s  – Mr. Alexander will have a drop-in time on Thursday in Focus in the cafeteria – stop by with any questions for applications, awards, scholarships, what’s next in the decision-making process.
Mr. Alexander will hold these drop-in times every Tuesday and Thursday until Spring Break.

Learning to Lead™ is, a four-week leadership program with 2-hour zoom sessions every week, open to Grade 11 girls, transgender, and non-binary youth. Participants gain confidence through a series of interactive workshops and activities. They leave the program with greater self-awareness, and the inspiration to take on new challenges and opportunities. Film Camp in A Box is currently seeking senior students to fill paid roles in their spring break and summer programs.  They are a youth-based digital media literacy workshop that engages young people between the ages of 8 – 14 in stop motion animation and filmmaking opportunities throughout Canada.
