Friday October 28, 2016                                                               CAFETERIA –  Pizza by the slice & Salads NUT HUT-Open!

GRADS – The grads who still owe 10.00 for their sitting fee can pay the photographer in the Black Box today before noon;  they will not release your proofs to you if you are owing.  Grad photo sitting appointment  be there-  5 minutes early with your  $10.00 cash sitting fee.

GRADE 9’S – who did not receive their Immunization shot last week can do so next  Friday November 4. Forms are in the office, please take it home to fill out and return it to the office asap.SCHOOL PHOTOS AND RETAKES – those who didn’t get a school photo done in September, or you need a re-take or Student ID card,  Retake photo day is THIS Tuesday November 1st.

JUNIOR GIRLS B BASKETBALL – practice and try-outs this Tuesday Nov. 1,  in the small gym at 7:30pm. All girls welcome to try-out!

SWIM TEAM – MANDATORY MEETING today at lunch in room 312.   We will be handing out important forms.

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST ON HALLOWEEN – This Monday there will be a Pumpkin Carving contest in the Cafeteria seating area at lunch. We have 10 large pumpkins,  so bring your friends.  There will be prizes!

BALLROOM DANCE CLUB – free workshop and demonstration this Tuesday Nov. 1, in the Dance Studio, 3:15-4pm. Jive, Foxtrot, Cha Cha, Waltz, Rumba, Tango & Salsa!

WE SCARE HUNGER FOOD DRIVE -The Me to We Club  and Community Leadership is hosting a food drive for the Mustard Seed.  Please bring non-perishable food items to the boxes outside the Library.

  “OPEN MIC” – Open Mic night auditions, held on Thurs. Nov. 10th at 3:30 in the Theatre.  Anyone can sing, dance play an instrument, do comedy or magic tricks.  Cash prize.  Sign-up sheet on the bulletin board outside the Black-Box If interested join Oak Bay High’s Open Mic night Facebook page.  Open Mic Night is on Thursday Nov. 24 @ 7:00pm.

CRAIGFLOWER SCHOOL BAKE SALE – Wednesday November 2nd. At lunch.  Help us raise money for Craigflower’s sports equipment.

CAREER CENTRE The Canadian Armed Forces is having an information session on November 3rd from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at 827 Fort St.   Students will have an opportunity to discuss careers for the Royal Canadian Navy, Canadian Army and Royal Canadian Air Force.  You will also gain some insight into the military lifestyle, discuss the physical fitness test requirements, learn how to navigate the online application process and have any of your questions answered by a recruiter.
