 HALLOWEEN DANCE – Next Thursday Oct. 27 7:00-10:00 pm.  Tickets on sale today!  This week tickets are $10.00.  Next week the tickets  will be $12.00. Tickets will be sold in the Student Plaza at lunch.

100 TEENS WHO CARE: Please note change of date. 100 Teens Who Care will be meeting this Tuesday, October 25 at lunch in Room 304.

GIRLS FIELD HOCKEY – Development Field Hockey Team will be playing in the Island Championships THIS Monday October 24th. for the day in Nanaimo.   Teachers, please excuse the following girls from classes on Monday: Riley Thorsen, Mia Kelly-Ralph, Amy Perry, Paris Ford, Olivia Gatrell, Gabby Pollock, Lena Borst, Jessica Maitland, Sofia Jeliazkov, Madeline Bartels, Eva Eichelmann, Ana Aviles, Aila Emtage and possibly Olivia Fenton.

BAKE SALE – There will be a fabulous frightening Bake Sale Thursday October 27 at lunch in the Student Plaza.

WE SCARE HUNGER FOOD DRIVE -The Me to We Club  and Community Leadership is hosting a food drive for the Mustard Seed.  Please bring non-perishable food items to the boxes outside the Library. There will be a “Can-struction” competition on Monday Oct. 31st. to see which team can stack the most cans. Sign-up sheet and more is in the office.

“WHERE’S NUTTY” IS BACK- the clue from Student Counsel this week is: “ Most of these have been replaced on a wall it is braced, take note and listen, don’t talk, you will find Nutty where you write in chalk!”

“OPEN MIC” – Open Mic night auditions, held on Thurs. Nov. 10th. after school on the Theatre.  If interested join Oak Bay High’s Open Mic night Facebook page.

CAREER CENTRE – Volunteer Opportunity – Margaret Jenkins Elementary School is looking for creepy, scary and spooky students (and regular ones too) to help at the Fall Dance Friday October 28th from 5-8pm.    Possible jobs:         1. “Haunt” our haunted theatre by being a spooky, slow moving statue or performing behind a white curtain a pantomime routine we have designed.  We can use 4 -6 students at this station!       2. Help serve food.  2 students?           3. Help with photo booth. 1 student          4. Help with craft table. 1 student        Please see Mrs. Giesbrecht for details on how to get involved.
