Today during Focus –  All grade 12 students who will be attending UVic in the fall are reminded that there is a Registration 101 session in the cafeteria.

Today – FOCUS ON THE TRACK OVAL – for any grade 9/10 Phys. Ed. students who want to make up their track times.  Mr. Busch will be on the track oval during Focus tomorrow-Friday

MANDATORY – Grad Assembly -during Advisory: this Monday May 29th.  All grade 12’s to the Theatre during Advisory for Grad ceremony info session. Gown/cap hand out, grad song rehearsal

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP – All leadership students looking to be Group Leaders next year in Community Leadership, come sign-up for an orientation in room 304 anytime. The Orientation will be held this Friday May 26 downtown.  It will be themed   “THE Amazing Race” and all that attend will get free ice cream at the end.

Oak Bay High 4TH. ANNUAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL –    Oak Bay High Film & Television is happy to announce our 4th short film festival on Friday June 9, 2017.  You have time to work on your entries. They are open to all Oak Bay students.  Entries must be no longer than 7 minutes and can be any category/genre.  Entries must submitted by  FRIDAY June 2.  See Mr. Laird for details.

 CAREER CENTRE    *Dual Credit Psychology  or Geography Next Year  – All applications for Dual Credit Psychology and Geography are due into Mrs. Giesbrecht by the end of day this Friday (tomorrow) May 26th.

GARDEN HELP – Local Oak Bay resident is looking for some help in the garden.  She is looking for someone who enjoys gardening and will pay $12 for an experienced gardener or $10 if she needs to train you.  Please see Mrs. Giesbrecht if you are interested

Summer Jobs Fair in the construction industry

The Construction Foundation of BC (CFBC) is hosting a Summer Opportunities Fair to enable high school student to connect with employers within the construction industry. If you are in grade 10, 11 or 12 and are interested in speaking with a number of keen employers about potential summer employment opportunities, don’t hesitate to register for this amazing event!  Bring your resume and be prepared for an interview at the fair.  Some of the trade areas featured will include sheet metal, welding, electrical, sprinkler systems, joinery, drywall, painting, carpentry, lathing, floor laying, cement finishing, reinforcing steel, insulation, plumbing, and air conditioning.  The fair will take place on Thursday, June 1st 2017 from 12:30 – 3:30PM Centre for Trades Education & Innovation – Atrium Camosun College, Interurban Campus, 4461 Interurban Rd.  Register online at http://www.constructionreadybc.ca/events
