HAPPENING THIS WEEK:      Friday- Cafeteria will be OPEN. Saturday – Oak Bay Band Tuba Christmas at Market square @1pm.

NEXT WEEK – SPIRIT WEEK – Dec. 12th. – 16th. – Monday – Oak Bay Spirit Day -free Hot Chocolate in the morning and wear your green & white!

Tuesday– dress-up as your favorite teacher and get candy canes.

Wednesday – Ugly Christmas Sweater day & decorating cookies at lunch.

Thursday – OB sports-wear day. We will be selling retro wear at lunch.

Friday – Polar Bear Swim – 8:30 Willows Beach.

 VIDEO LIP SYNC REMAKES – So far Lip Sync Music Video Re-makes have been received by:  Shrubsole & Simonson, Horwood,  Alexander,   Horton,     TAG 26 (Name? Student contact is Molly Hunter-Hatten) … Bradshaw.

*If your Advisory has filmed a Lip Sync video can you please ask the student contact to get in touch with me so that I can start assembling all of the entries into the compilation video for the Winter Assembly.    Peace & Good Health.

CHRISTMAS ASSEMBLY SLIDE-SHOW – anyone interested in submitting photos for the Christmas Assembly slide-show, please contact Chloe Morris or Samantha Buckingham through Facebook asap.

POLAR BEAR SWIM – and Winter Assembly Friday December 16, – We are looking for student lifeguards to volunteer for the Polar Bear Swim at Willows beach.  If you are interested, please contact Ms. Taggart room 304 asap.

 2017 GRADS – who missed the October grad photo session or that want a retake grad photo, can sign up for a photo session time in the office.  The grad photo retake day is next Tuesday, December 13.  First time sitting fee bring  $10.00.

 CAREER CENTER – VOLUNTEERING – Garry Oak Ecosystem Restoration at Fort Rodd Hill is looking for student volunteers.  You will have the opportunity to learn about endangered Garry oak ecosystems, native plant propagation, remove invasive species, and enjoy the outdoors.  Bi-weekly scheduled volunteer days from 10am to 3pm with lunch is provided. CHRISTMAS HAMPERS – Don’t forget to donate to your Advisory Food Hamper. We are looking to organize Christmas Hampers this year for families who are in need.  This is something that is typically done through advisories, and then is wrapped and delivered on the last day of school (Friday, December 16th).     We fill the Christmas Hampers with food, gifts specific to that family, and gift certificates.  Please let Ms. Kubicek room 313 know ASAP, if your Advisory is interested in, and whether you would like to do this independently or share your hamper with another Advisory.
