Advisory Teachers- Course Verification forms have been put in your mail drawer in the office. Please distribute the forms for your grade 9, 10 and 11 students.   Students should indicate any corrections that need to be made to their course selections for next year directly on the form, have a parent sign the form and then return the signed form to the office by MONDAY.  We only want the forms that have changes.

BOWKER CREEK DUCK RACE tomorrow – Don’t miss it! Come by the outdoor classroom tomorrow morning starting at 11 am, and support our Environment Club students.  If you would like to race a duck, 1 duck for 3 bucks or 2 ducks for 5 bucks.   Any proceeds will go to future stewardship efforts to maintain our beautiful new Bowker Creek ecosystem.

WHERE’S NUTTY – This week’s clue from Student Council is: “to solve the hunt you must get,  in the room wired with net.  Crammed with tech and full of code,  Nutty is hidden in this abode!

GRADS OF 2016” -THERE ARE SEVERAL GRADS WHO NEED TO GET THEIR GRAD 2016 FEES AND FORM 1 IN!   PLEASE SUBMIT COMPLETED FORMS WITH PAYMENT TO MS CARBERY IN ACCOUNTS TODAY!!

GRAD DINNER DANCE MOVIE – Mr. Carmichael needs photos/videos to make the Grad Dinner-Dance movie ASAP.  It takes many hours to make and he needs to get started now.

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP -reminder to keep raising money this week. Community Leadership is challenging all Advisories to raise money for the SPCA.  The Advisory  with the most money by May 9th  will win a Pizza Lunch for their Advisory.  Advisory Teachers,  your fundraising envelopes are in your mail drawer,  in the office, send a runner to pick them up today to start collecting!

CAREER CENTRE – *uStart Applications are due in to Mrs. Giesbrecht by the end of day today.  Ms. Giesbrecht will be in and out of her office for the next few days so please leave them in the main office if you can’t find me.

*INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITIES FAIR STUDENTS –There will be a quick meeting in the Career Centre today -Friday at lunch for the students who have signed up to go to the International Universities Fair in Vancouver on May 7th.  If you can’t make it please see Mrs. Giesbrecht before the end of the day on Friday

*St. Andrew’s University Scotland will have a representative in the Career Centre at lunch on Monday May 25th.  If you have any questions or would like to learn more about studying in Scotland please attend the presentation.

*UBC is offering an Intensive French Summer Institute for high school students ages 15 to 18 who have completed grade 9 French.  Gain confidence in your ability to speak French and participate in conversations in this intensive one week course.  Monday to Friday July 4-8, 9am-3:30pm.  $440 + tax until June 3; $453+ tax after.  There are only 30 seats available so register soon at www.cstudies.ubc.ca/high-school  or call 604-822-1444.
