ALL GRADES WELCOME – The Fire Academy Training Division, the mobile vehicle will be here on Monday morning December 12th. A few students at a time will have an opportunity to take part in hands-on interactive activities in the First Responder trailer which will be located outside the main entrance by the library during focus and at lunch. Students will have the opportunity to put on the actual gear, and do a mock search pulling a hose through an open area and then a small confined space. There will also be multiple Firefighter tools to look at.

Volunteering Opportunities
The Volunteer Coordinator for Baptist Housing is looking for volunteers who would like to volunteer regularly though the year. Baptist Housing operates Shannon Oaks an independent living seniors home (just opposite Save on Foods), and Marion Village an Assisted Living/Independent Living community opposite Oak Bay Rec Center. Students would help with activities, or with technology assistance. They are also looking for performance level musicians. Would you like to Volunteer with Baptist Housing?
