PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENTS

The Junior Girl’s Volleyball Team won their pool at the B.C. Championships on Friday with some exciting games.  This put the team into the Championship round of 16 and had us playing MEI for our first playoff round on Saturday.  Our team lost in 3 sets to MEI who eventually made it all the way into the finals.  We rallied back to win the next game against Langley Christian to get 9th out of 32 teams.  We had a super season that was exceptional, so all the girls should be very proud of their efforts and accomplishments.

Congratulations to the Senior Girls Volleyball team coached by Ron Mutch and assistant Rob Mickelberry on their qualification for provincial championships. After coming in 2nd place to reigning provincial champions Belmont at the Island Championships the weekend before last, they travelled to Surrey on Saturday to compete in a 4-team wildcard round robin for a place at the provincials. It came down to a dramatic final game where Oak Bay had to win and the girls played their hearts out and were victorious, securing a berth at this week’s provincial championships running November 30-December 2 at Langley Events Centre. This is the 4th consecutive year that the senior girls team will be attending the provincials, proudly representing Oak Bay High. Best of luck to both the senior girls and boys at the provincial championships.

Thank you for bringing in your clothes to support the Clothing Drive.   We received a ton of donations and we really appreciate itJ.
