There will be a Volunteer Fair on Thursday, November 2nd from 9:30-11:30 in the Student Plaza.  Come and check out all your volunteering opportunities.

The Halloween Dance will be on October 27th!  Tickets will go on sale on Monday, October 17th.  The first week tickets are $10 and the 2nd week they are $15.

Grade 9 students, please return your “Take Your Kid to Work Day” consent forms to your Block A teacher by Thursday.

This year, the UBC Sauder School of Business is hosting an in-person information session for students and family members interested in the Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) program. The UBC Sauder BCom Fall Preview information session is an opportunity to learn more about the admissions process and offers a first look at student life in the program.

House of Commons Page Program – Recruiting 40 bilingual students graduating from high school to participate. Apps due Nov. 6.  Are you interested in becoming a page and being part of an unforgettable year-long experience? The page program hires a new cohort of 40 students annually. (Grade 12’s may apply) Its recruitment campaign begins every September, and those applying must be looking to enroll in their first year of university or college the following September.

Volunteering Opportunities

The Volunteer Coordinator for Baptist Housing is looking for volunteers who would like to volunteer regularly though the year.  Baptist Housing operates Shannon Oaks an independent living seniors home (just opposite Save on Foods), and Marion Village an Assisted Living/Independent Living community opposite Oak Bay Rec Center.   Students would help with activities, or with technology assistance.  They are also looking for performance level musicians.  Would you like to Volunteer with Baptist Housing?
