The first Youth for Equality meeting will be this Friday, October 8th at lunch in room 309.  Please come check it out!  Everyone welcome!

All girls in grades 9-12, if you are interested in playing basketball this year, please see Mr. Frampton at LUNCH TODAY in the Big Gym.

Do you want to write a University of Waterloo Math contest this year?  There is a 2 hour one on Nov.17th with math content up to Grade 11, and the Pascal (Gr.9)/Cayley (Gr.10)/Fermat (Gr.11) one on Feb.23rd.  Come sign up in Rm 308 with Mrs. Smith BY Mon. OCTOBER 18th if you are interested, $2 per contest (math department will subsidize rest of cost).  Get a full size chocolate bar on the day of the contest too!

The Canadian University Event will be virtual again this year. Students will have the opportunity to join in the virtual sessions with approximately 50 different Canadian Universities to learn about the programs and entrance requirements.  Registration is open now and the session take place as follows:

The Practice SAT (PSAT) will take place on October 13th here at Oak Bay for any Grade 11 students interested in applying to university in the US.  When students sign up and pay the $35 exam fee to Ms. Giesbrecht in the Career Centre they will be given helpful study materials.  Seats are limited and will be held on a first come first serve basis.
