EUCLID MATH CONTEST – TOMORROW April 12th. – all grade 11 and 12 students intending to write the Euclid Math contest taking  place in the library, starting a few minutes before the end of lunch time .  Please see Mr. Carter in room 307 to fill out your response form as soon as possible.

WEIGHTLIFTING TEAM – Congratulations to the Oak Bay Weightlifting team that competed in the BC Championships on Saturday.  The team got four podium finishes and came second over all! Well done!

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP – starting today, Community Leadership is challenging all Advisories to raise money for the SPCA. The Advisory  with the most money by May 9th  will win a Pizza Lunch for their Advisory.  Advisory Teachers,  your fundraising envelopes are in your mail drawer,  in the office, send a runner to pick them up today to start collecting!

OPEN MIC NIGHT AUDITIONS NEXT WEEK – the sign-up sheet is posted outside the Black Box (room 139) Audition dates are this Thursday the 14th. and Friday the 15th. during Focus.  There is a cash prize for first place.

STUDENT COUNCIL –any Grade 11 Students interested in running for Student Council President…there is a meeting in Room 143 (Simpson) this Tuesday April 12 at lunch.

CAREER CENTRE *Volunteer Opportunities – There are several new volunteer opportunities posted in the Career Centre   * Sunday April 10th kicks off National Volunteer Week 2016,(#NVW2016YYJ) and Volunteer Victoria is asking for your help in promoting volunteerism during April 10 -16th. They have a number of events planned with various non-profit organizations.
